Jukebox Upchuck #15
I'm relying on my NYC readership to tell me whether Austin-NYC band VietNam is worthy of the hype they're receiving. I haven't heard their debut, just these two tracks, which I find intriguing as they mine Spiritualized territory. I'm therefore guessing that they might be a fun band to see in person.

if you're counting on me to know anything about hip new bands, don't.
i don't really go to shows too much anymore. i've heard good things about this band but the first time i heard them was here.
these guys are buddies of mine and they rock. they did an excellent cover of Suicide "Cherie Cherie" when I saw 'em in Portland a few weeks ago. Check out their LP! Very original song-crafting.
